No Bips-John reunion yet!

3
MUMBAI: Bipasha Basu and John Abraham made headlines a few weeks ago with regard to their upcoming on-screen reunion. It was suggested that the ex-couple agreed to shoot a few scenes together for Abbas-Mustan’s Race 2.
However, Bipasha denies teaming up with John. “It’s absolutely true that I have a special appearance in Race 2. But let me clarify that I don’t have anything to do with John in it,” says Bipasha, whose next film, Players is also directed by Abbas Mustan.
In the sequel to the 2009 hit, John plays a villain, while Bipasha, who was seen opposite Saif Ali Khan in the first part, doesn’t have much screen time.
John had started his career with Bipasha in the Bhatts’ Jism (2003). The pair later went on to work together in films such as Madhoshi (2004) and Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal (2007). But lately, John and Bips, after their decade-long relationship came to an end, seem to be maintaining a distance. Recently, the two were reportedly shooting at the same time at Filmistan, but avoided bumping into each other.
On her part, Bipasha says she’s enjoying the ‘single’ status, but insists she’s still on cupid’s radar. “I am open to love. You know, I would like to believe that I am a very loveable person,” she laughs, adding, “So, I don’t know why I should be averse to love.”
And is marriage on the cards? “How does one decide when marriage or love will happen? Such things are sensitive matters of the heart and can’t be planned or manipulated. If you are supposed to fall in love or get married, it will happen, no matter how hard you try not to. I can’t say if I will fall in love a month or two later,” she says.
For now, what makes Bipasha happy is her bikini outing in Players. “I was petrified of wearing a bikini in Dhoom 2 (2006). But this time, I went on a diet for six weeks — eating high protein, low fat and carbs — for the first time. And despite being very critical about myself, I loved the end result,” she says.
Bips too scared to kiss onscreen
With her recent ‘lips like Bips’ commercial, one would not think that Bipasha Basu is shy of locking lips. However, the actor confesses that she finds kissing scenes “tough.” The actor adds that “every time a kissing sequence comes, I get it off from the film. “And till date, I have been quite successful”. “Lovemaking scenes are much easier. Kissing happens for real, but in a lovemaking scene, we cheat a lot. I have kissed Ranbir (Kapoor) in Bachna Ae Haseeno (2008). And before that, my then boyfriend (John in Jism). So that doesn’t matter.”

Imran Khan dedicates a song to Juhi Chawla

2
MUMBAI: Imran Khan looks at new song as a special number for the senior actor, whom he’s always been fond of. Back in the ’80s, Juhi Chawla had met a very special fan Imran Khan. And till today, not many know that the actor has been a big fan of Juhi since her Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (1988) days.
In fact, Imran’s mamu, Aamir Khan had introduced Juhi to his nephew when he was a child.
Several years later, Imran has come up with a special tribute for Juhi. With a new song, Aunty ji… from Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu, Imran is believed to made a dedication to all the Aunties he has met over the years. In fact, the actor has revealed to his close circle that it’s in a way his special dedication to his favourite aunt, Juhi Chawla.
“Imran’s chocolate boy looks are hit amongst women. And since he has always received a lot of attention and affection from aunties, who refer to him as the good boy, Imran wants to dedicate the song to them. But most importantly, it’s for Juhi Chawla, because he has grown up watching her movies. And due to Aamir, both Imran and Juhi have always been very close. So, it’s Imran’s turn to show her affection and respect,” says an insider.
When contacted, Imran says with a laugh “Since my childhood, I have been a Juhi Chawla fan, and will always be one. And this song is our New Year’s gift to all the aunties. Everyone should live life to fullest and have a blast. And that’s what this song entails.”
The Imran and Kareena Kapoor-starrer, produced by Karan Johar, releases around Valentine’s Day next year. For the first time, Imran is pairing with Kareena, who worked with his mamu Aamir in 3 Idiots (2009) and will be seen with him again in the forthcoming Talaash, which will release by mid-next year.
