Q: Tell me something about your debut Movie
A: The movie Ussey Kya ho Jayega is based on a Novel by the same name written by Ashesh Sharma. This Movie is made by Maansa Productions in association with Folklore Productions Private Limited. The Director of the Movie is Amit Ojha and Producer is Ajit Maan. The words ‘Ussey kya ho Jayega’ are words which we all use in our regular life in a very casual way. This movie is about how these words are used in various stages and situations by the hero (played by me) and the consequences of it in his personal and professional life. While walking in the path of truth the hero faces a lot of problems but he does not leave his hope and confidence till the end and finally succeeds. One major thing about this story is that kids to old people can relate to this story because they might have faced or may be facing such situations in life. This Movie spreads the social message not to give up hope even in adverse situations. This is a very motivating film and I am sure you will like it. I hope you Guys would watch the movie and give me feedback too.
Q: Did you ever think of being an Actor as a child? What were your dreams of future when you were a kid?
A: No, Being an Actor was never part of my dreams in childhood. As a kid I always wanted to be a part of Indian Army to safe guard my motherland and protect it from ruthless enemies.
Q: How was your experience working in the Movie?
A: It was a great learning experience working in the movie as things are a lot different from Serials. I learned a lot of things especially about Cameras and shooting in different angles etc. I am looking forward for my next picture after this.
Q: How was your first day on the Movie set? Did the onlookers of the shooting recognize you?
A: I was very excited to give my first shot on the first day of shooting. It was a great experience. When I reached the Jaipur Airport itself many people recognized me as my onscreen character. On the first day we did the shooting in some garden and there also people recognized me as Shankar of Pyaar kii ye ek Kahaani and as Paaji of my first TV Serial Palampur Express.
Q: How did you get this Movie Offer? Do you have a Godfather in the Industry you would like to share about?
A: Well, I can’t boast of a God Father in this industry yet. I started doing DJ’ng in my College days because of my passion for music and then got offers for modeling. I got my portfolio done and did a number of print ads, commercial ads and ramp shows. My Parents who were not supportive of my Career choice in the beginning also started supporting me after seeing my work. I shifted to Mumbai to start my career in acting in 2009. I auditioned for the TV Serial Palampur Express telecasted on Sony Entertainment Television and got my first break as an Actor. After that Serials like Bairi Piya on Colors and Pyaar kii ye ek Kahaani on Star One followed. While I was doing Pyaar kii ye ek Kahaani I received a call for the audition of the Movie Ussey Kya ho Jayega but I did not go. They called me again the second day and I gave the audition this time. There were a lot of guys auditioning for the role. After the performance they asked me if I am free the next day for a meeting and the next day they took a look test again. They shortlisted 4 Guys and I was chosen at to play the lead role in the movie. So as far as I am concerned, it is just hard work and a little bit of luck which has landed me in the role.
Q: Now that you have made it to Bollywood, would you be bidding Bye to small screen?
A: Definitely not! Television is where I made my mark as an Actor. I am open to good roles in television serials where I can explore myself as an actor.
Q: You have made a mark for yourself as a DJ. Your recent remix Album Rhythmatics Vol.2 was a winner too. So now that you would be concentrating on your Acting Career, will you give up DJ’ng?
A: Music is like heart beat to me. It is my passion and my best company forever. I will continue doing DJ’ng but only selected events as I am doing now. And I hope to release remixes like Electro Mixtape and Rhythmatics Vol 2 from time to time.
Q: Do you have any advice for those who want to join the Film Industry?
A: When you choose to be an actor, you are going against the odds as an actor is a kind of intermediary between an audience and the piece, whether it is a play, movie or a serial. So get into the skin of the character and make it live.
